The wait staff are nice as can be, the atmosphere is amazing with live music, the daiquiris are some of the best I've ever had, the price is just about right, and the burgers are delicious! For a tourist-trap type joint, you can't beat it - it's the ideal location for those visiting to get a little taste of the island life without being outside of their comfort zone while being boozed up. Very boozed up, as many of the sweet, delicious daiquiris (which is what they are known for, as our waitress mentioned just a whole bunch of times) are 190 proof without any of the consequences of that alcoholy taste. The selection can be a little overwhelming at first, but the drinks break down into simple categories such as fruity, desserty, etc. Just go with what you think you'd like! And if it's not your favorite, give it to someone else in your group and order another - they are cheap enough that you can have a few without breaking the bank. As for the food, everyone in my group ordered - and finished - P.T.'s Pig Boy Platter ($14.99). I got it with all the fixings, including bacon and cheese. Although it is a 20 oz. monster, given the amount of drunk/hungry we were, we all devoured that baby - and it was a damn good burger! The fries weren't bad either. If you've got the appetite, absolutely take on this challenge; the first person in our group to finish was a petite gymnast, and she got a free shot out of it (finished in 11 minutes). Overall, it's one of those places in the island that many people congregate at to relax, eat, and drink. Well worth it. Happy Eating!

Pros- great location in Coligny plaza, fun atmosphere, great drink choices... Cons- food is average at best. Pizza sauce is ehh...chicken is dry. Potato salad is good, but does not taste homemade or fresh- might as well go to the piggly wiggly and buy it (it tastes the same). Would go back for drinks- after I ate somewhere else.

Meh. It's basically always Spring Break at the Frosty Frog. And, if that's what you're going for, you have found it. The atmosphere makes you think a wet t-shirt contest might break out at any moment. It's all about those frosty cocktails. You choose your poison in that with many of the drinks, you can pick the proof of your alcohol. I stuck to the middle of the road, assuming that the high octane booze would pretty much decide the rest of my day. Food is hit or miss. I think it's really a drinks and apps kind of place. We got the chips and salsa and it was awesome. Thin, salty chips (made in-house?) and awesome roasted salsa. There were three of us eating. Two of us decided to go for pizza, which I recommend you NOT do here. It was reminiscent of a take and bake pizza from Walmart. My sister got a salad, which was a basic bowl of iceberg topped with a couple of tomato slices and some fried chicken strips. It was fine, but really nothing special. I'd be back for a frozen drink (available by the gallon, by the way), but I wouldn't eat here again.

My first impression of this place other than total tourist trap and generic beach daiquiri bar was not good. My local friends took us here swearing the food is awesome. I stood at the bar for 17 minutes with out being even looked at,even though people came and went served right next to me. What am I invisible? ? I finally gave up and went to wait outside with my friends. When we got our table it took FOREVER to even get a drink. I was able to sample 2 of there frozen daiquiri drinks, which both tasted like cough syrup.gross. pass. My husband ordered a crab sandwich which he fell in love with, my friend ordered an amazing rib eye sandwich and I had a blt. The only good things about my blt was the B. All 3 little pieces. I felt ripped off. Service was awful. This dining experience took over 2 hours. This is not a 5 star sit and enjoy your food place. This is an eat and get your drink and go to the beach type of place. Will not be back. Primarily due to service all around.

This is a great place to enjoy frozen daiquiris inside Coligny Plaza while shopping! I will warn you, as do they, the drinks are STRONG! And I mean, some are made with grain liquor that's 151-190 proof so they will sneak up on you... However, delicious! The food is okay, but not their strongest point. It's a very casual place to relax and have fun! Brightly painted walls and TVs to watch sports too! Afterwards, always head outside to take your own photo op! They tend to be better after a couple daiquiris! They also have a gift shop for souvenirs, but they let you take your drink with you to walk around the plaza which is awesome considering its hot and at the beach!

The Frosty Frog epitomizes the casual beach restaurant. The food is nothing spectacular, but it is reasonable and the kids enjoy it. The decor inside is casual and rather fun. We have been there before when the person dressed in the frog outfit was working and that was a huge hit with the kids. Hands down, the best part of this oasis is their frozen drinks, many containing highly potent grain alcohol. They have non alcoholic daquaris for the young ones too so everybody can enjoy. I highly recommend the dirty monkey! They also sell their delicious nectar by the half gallon, gallon, and really big party size for you to enjoy at home. This review is making me thirsty... I'm headed back to the beach and the "frog"!

Worst customer service ever!!!! We waited for 30 freaking minutes and no one came by our table to ask for our drinks! We gave them another 10 minutes and still no one came so we left!!!!

Delicious pizza, wait service is not consistent. Out of the three visits two of the servers were excellent the one today was awful.

It was our first time here, we've been to Hilton Head 3 times now for Summer vacation. We sat outside for dinner, there was live music for entertainment. The patio is a fun spot to sit, enjoy the music and people. I got the fish (mahi mahi) tacos and they were delicious! I used to live in CA and these were just as good as any I've had. My sister had the crab cake sandwich and she loved it. My brother in law had the Prime Rib sandwich, he enjoyed that as well. The kids had chicken fingers and grilled cheese. Everyone left full and happy. I'd def recommend this spot for a fun, casual dinner.

Best thing about the Frosty Frog are the delicious frozen beverages. Being a fan of white russians, my favorite is the Dirty Monkey. Husband loves the Hurricane and sister loved the Peppermint Patty. On one visit we ordered the pimiento cheese spread, and while the spread itself is good, I was just surprised that it came out on a paper plate. A literal paper plate with a tired leaf of lettuce underneath it. For a place that charges ~$10 for a drink in a styrofoam cup (although very handy for carrying out) I might have hoped for a real plate. All in all, great little place to grab a drink to cool down on a hot day. Very casual, fantastic outdoor area, with pretty decent service and on point drinks. Just beware of brain freeze.

We didn't eat at at The Frosty Frog this year, but we decided to try out the gallons to go. They were super fast and courteous on getting the order together. This was great for beaching! They even will offer you cups to take with you if you didn't bring any. The wicked apple wasn't overly apple, but it hit the spot.

We went here because we got into town late and needed some food that was quick and still open. There is no real ambiance inside to speak of, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It is what it is. One other person & I shared a large frosty (their frozen alcoholic drink), which was actually delicious, and almost too much for the two of us. We had the dirty monkey flavor, I highly recommend it. We got the fish tacos (spring for the mahi mahi in them even though it's a few dollars extra!) and a ceaser salad. The salad was a basic ceaser, which was fun, but the fish tacos were really good!!

Wanted to share this unique joint with my family for an after dinner frozen concoction. Maybe we were all just tired--it was late, but not as cool as the first visit. My brother-in-law got the Jungle Juice, my sister got the Sex on the Peach, I tried the sugar-free choice, my wife got the margarite, and Mom passed at this late hour. They do package the drinks to go, and all except my wife got the small. None of us finished ours and left them on the table--guess it was not such a good idea after all. But my wife got the medium, and it was the tastiest, so she took it with her and we enjoyed the rest of it at home. The music was stellar; however, I came away with a greater understanding of why young people today are losing their hearing.

Pretty good I'd say! I ordered a pizza and a drink here. I don't remember spending a terrible amount of money here, and the food was definitely worth what I paid for it. The location is convenient considering it is walking distance from the beach and other stores, and the staff was friendly, too. Definitely check it out!

Great way to start your day with a Frosty Frog!! Delicious frozen cocktails! We had steamed shrimp appetizer. Steamed large shrimps & hot! My son had the hot wings--he loved em! We had salads & my husband ordered prime rib sandwich basket w/fries. Amanda waited on us; she arrived with smiles & made our lunch super fun! We ate outside & watched the large screens with chilling fans keeping us comfy! Great food & fun atmosphere!! We will be back!

The food is mediocre, very average bar food. Don't go for the food, go for the wall of frozen drinks! They have the best frozen daiquiris anywhere and they sell them in quarts or gallons to-go. LOVE their drinks, especially the Pond Water which is simply a little bit of a bunch of different drinks in one cup.

The place is great, live music, sports TV and food is your regular pub dishes. Server was fast and took good care of us. The host did all possible to squeeze us in on that rainy day.

Good place for lunch. My husband had the burger which was very big - messy to eat but tasty. It was tasty but a bit overcooked and unwieldy for a man in his 60s. Ideal for a younger person. I ordered a wrap billed as a chicken walnut grape. It could have had more chicken in it as it was overwhelmed with the dressing. With an ice tea and glass of water, the bill came to about $30. Service was fast and friendly.

My first time here and I was very pleased. This place has a great feel and ambiance. The food is also tasty and very reasonable considering most places on Hilton Head. We had the papaya & coconut encrusted shrimp for an appetizer, it came with 5 large shrimp and were very tasty. My mother had the crab cake sandwich and I had the turkey club wrap. Both were tasty and I would definitely get the crab cake sandwich again if I return to Hilton Head. I really wanted to try some of their fun flavors of daiquiris but my mother doesn't drink and I don't drink in front of her but wow - what a fun menu!

Went with the family...5 year old and a 5 month old and wife. Sat outside, very nice seating with TV's at good spots. Only problem was near the bar outside, smoking was allowed. If the wind is right, it blows right into the eating area which sucks. We moved tables because of this. I can't stand cigarette smoke. This is the only reason it did not get 5 stars. Food was great! Wings were awesome....salads were great, too. Cheese pizza was outstanding, and I say that because my picky 5 year old ate every last bit. Drinks were good, waiter was outstanding. Highly recommended.

Frosty Frog is what I call a very small version of a Wet Willies which works perfectly with the non commercialized feel of Hilton Head. So for a lethal frosty daiquiri, this is your spot but they tend to be a little on the slow side with service so wear your patience hat upon arrival and know that you will eventually be served a lethal delicious frozen drink.......again I say lethal.......

  • Douglas H.

I can't really review the food but the frosty drinks are awesome! Had the grape danger and boy was it! 190 proof grain alcohol in this baby! It definitely got me charged and ready to go. Tried a few of the groups and they were all very good. We did do chips and salsa the salsa was great and homemade. Very fun atmosphere highly recommend stopping in and cooling off with one of these treats! You can also order virgin as well...

Great bar choice in Hilton Head. Large covered patio, lots of TVs, and frozen drinks. The bar has like 15 different frozen drink choices (everything from Hurricanes to Frozen Lemonade to Strawberry Daquri). Prices were reasonable. ($7 for 16 oz, $9 for 24 oz, $13 for 36 oz, etc.- you can even pick up a gallon for like $36 bucks). They also serve a handful of bottled beer or a mix drink if you don't like the frozen stuff. We were at the bar at around 11pm on a Tuesday night, and the vibe was fun. Lots of younger people (both tourists and locals) at the bar, and families sitting at the tables on the patio. definitely a great place!

I'd certainly come back here if in HHI! The gentlemen waiting on us the night we were there, was a serious class act. Friendly, helpful and on top of things. The frosty's were potent and the food surprisingly good! The manager was MIA until our bartender was in back cooking our food, cleaning the kitchen and running around. I made a comment to the manager (female) that geeze, she need to give the guy a break (jokingly) and her response was "it's his job" and laughed it off. It was a joke, but you could tell she meant it. One of those things when someone becomes manager and forgets that they need to get their feet wet sometimes and don't forget where they came from. Uhm, get a grip. The place was perfect, and one of the only places open.

Stopped in for a quick snack and a few frozen drinks. Agreed that this is a super gimmicky place, but I can see where it would be loads of fun in the summertime. The drinks were excellent and they had a few really unique flavors. Service was good. Great place to stop if you are out and about in that area.

Their sweet chili frog leg appetizer is comes in 3 pieces, it's unbelievably spicy & great that made me cry ;) it's been a while I since i had my homemade harbenero chicken grill My husband had Parmesan tilapia sandwich with fries that pretty good. We clean all of it ;p Came back to this restaurant 3 times now, it's been wonderfull. We love their 190 proff daiquiri. We try jump start, tidall wave, fruitloop. It was great ;)

Been visiting the island for six years and must have walked by this place 50 times. This time I decided to walk-in, because I was too exhausted from my 15 hr drive to search elsewhere. Fish tacos were ok. Hot wings didn't even reach mild level. Whatever you do, don't order any of their specialty drinks unless you want a sugar overload the likes of which could send you into a coma. Staff was good with excellent service.

Good burger and good drinks. My girlfriend and I ate here and it was pretty good. Burgers and sandwiches are a good choice and the place was just a nice place in general to sit down and eat while taking a break from shopping and the beach.

Went here expecting good pizza. Ended up with homemade card board for dinner. It was easily some of the worst pizza I've ever had. Service wasn't good. My styrofoam cup (which was bad enough in the first place) had a hole in it, and when I asked for a new one, I got a refill in the same cup. It was a mess. Would give less than one star if I could.

Seiously? Maybe if we didnt have te kids and were with friends and wanted a place to get drinks and hang out Id come here again. BUT, only if we were too lazy to walk any further thru Coligny Plaza. Space is great with large patio, sure. Live music is ok. Guy in Frosty Frog outfit running around doing stupid stuff to customers? Creepy and we think he was definitely under the influence and he was engaging children! Food was meh. Mall food is better. Pizza was gross, my crab cake was substandard, our daughter's terriyaki chicken was dry and the sauce was poured over it like it was straight from a bottle. Also, I was shoked that they only use styrofoam for drinks. No glasses at all. So on this beautiful island, this crappy lazy restaurant is littering it with styrofoam you cant recycle and literally takes thousands of years to decompose.

Came here late on Sunday evening looking for a good place to eat. Found this place and it's great! Ordered the carole's burger with grilled onions and swiss cheese it was The Best burger I've ever had! Juicy, seasoned well cooked to perfection! Also had the frog legs that has several glazes order was cooked properly and fresh. I also had the Huricane slush that was 190 proof! ( Yeah 190!) I'm glad I only ordered a small. It was a little expensive for two $55 but well worth it! I will be back when I return to Hilton Head!

First, i did not eat there so can not speak to the food. I would like to express my displeasure with the service for my party. We came in to a relatively empty bar and waited 10 minutes to even get menus.

The Frog has got it going on! This place was made for the guys to complete their shopping day waiting on the wives. The guys will be finished shopping first and what better place than to go get a drink and wait on them to finish. The staff was friendly and the food and drinks were great! Why is there not more of the Frost Frog around! We'll do it again next time we are in Hilton Head!

Needless to say, the frozen drink machines crank out the high test. I highly recommend a mix of the Hurricane and The Sex on the Peach. Trust me. :) Had an 8 pack of hot wings and found them righteous! Spice pepper comes out strong and tasty without taking away from the crispy style I ordered them. The deviled egg potato salad mellows the slight bit of the wings and is delicious. Forget the naysayers, this place is golden. Thanks for the great service, Misty!

I'd give zero stars if I could... this place was horrible. Server wasn't very enthusiastic and looked very unwilling to accommodate and answer our questions about the menu. We ordered a few frosties and ended up with one drink that ended up tasting like Robitussin. We forgot to tell her we wanted a small even though all the rest were small and were given a large of this horribly tasting drink so we asked if we could switch it for a small virgin drink. Our server went to fetch her manager and the manager was absolutely unwilling to let it slide and was very rude about it, insisting that the taste was from the alcohol and that we just weren't used to the taste. The food took a long time to arrive and was not very good either. We also asked for some extra pickles and were very surprised to see each and every pickle charged to our bill. Lastly it is very unappetizing to see your food served on disposable plates - in addition, all the drinks were served in styrofoam cups. It is sad to think that they cannot wash their own dishes to be more environmentally friendly. Thankfully this is the last time I will ever eat at this place.

We searched for the best place to find the best burger, and we stumbled upon The Frosty Frog Cafe. Upon arriving, we were immediately seated in a very cute restaurant decorated with cute frogs, obviously living true to the name. However, this is where our meal took a turn for the worst! We sat for 15 minutes before a server even acknowledged that we were in the restaurant and took our drink order, and she was unenthusiastic and had an overall look of dissatisfaction on her face. After receiving our drinks, it took even more time to order. We waited very patiently, and the waitress didn't stop at our table until my financé bluntly stated that he wanted to order now. The only upside to this restaurant was the delicious burger (the only one on the menu) and the prime rib sandwich. The food was soooo good! Yet it had to be forgotten by the terrible service. Once again we sat and waited for our waitress to come around, this time for about 20-25 minutes. She asked us if we were still working on our food, even though we had nothing on our plate and had brought out the phone to play games while we wait. She once again had to be prompted to bring the check. Overall, the food was absolutely delicious, but we spent longer in that cafe then what we desired. The service was dismal! One of the worst places I've ever been.

We sat at the bar and had the absolute worse service of anyplace we've visited in Hilton Head. We had to ask for our bill 3 different times. The food was OK.

Looks like this place has been a hit or miss for past people. My husband and I came here on our first time visiting Hilton Head Island. It was walking distance from the beach we went to and we weren't looking for a 5-star resort-ish place. Just a simple burger and fries shack....or and high alcohol content frozen drinks. My husband had one and enjoyed it. Menu is simple. Seating is pretty much where ever you like. I do have to agree, service was slow but honestly, we were just enjoying our day and basking in the nice air conditioned place. It's just more of a laid back place. I would recommend this to younger groups of people who have been basking out in the sun all day. It's a good break from the heat and fills you up.

  • Melissa B.

You go here for the frozen grain alcohol drinks...not the food. They have a great selection of flavors and sizes. I got the lemonade one and it was delicious. Service was quick and the frosty slushee with some intense liquor is great for the beach.

WOO-HOO! Frosty Frog Cafe! Good Food and Good frozen grain alcohol slushy drinks!! The equivalent of Icee's for adults! They have carry-out! You can carry one to the beach with you! Life is good! Try the "Carol's Burger" 10oz Angus burger on a nice toasted pretzel bun- very good! also, the fried grouper sandwich is very good! A Hilton Head must try!

We stopped in here for lunch and boy am I glad we did! These drinks are no joke. Very strong!! I had the something monkey and it was good!! Our table also ordered jungle juice, margarita and something rainbow (sorry cant remember the name!). As far as food goes everyone was satisfied. I had AJ's buffalo sandwich and it was AWESOME- huge chunks of blue cheese. The other thing I liked is that this place is very fair priced for a tourist town!

Came here on a Friday evening for dinner while on the island. It was very busy but the service was fairly good for how busy it was. There was next to a million TVs with various sports events being shown. The staff was very open to changing the channels as well. The place is famous for their frozen drinks. The entire bar was lined with frozen drink dispensers and an entire page of the menu was devoted to the frozen drinks. I would say there were over fifty different choices. I didn't have one but some of them sounded delicious. They also had a variety of beer and wines to choose from. The menu was your average southern bar menu with deep fried goodies and wraps and sandwiches and such. We chose to split a 12 inch pizza for 11 bucks. The pizza was very good but not very filling. The crust was very thin and it tasted a little bit like they made the crust from scratch, which is cool. I would definitely recommend checking this place out for at least a frozen drink and a quick bite if you are ever in coligny circle on the island!

  • Adam M.

They have some real losers running this place. A 17 year old high school dropout with as much drive as a Yugo could improve the management of this dive bar. We waited around 20 mins at the bar before our thirst was quenched. This place avoids the 1star rating because they serve grain alcohol, which improved my mood. If you gamble on better service than I received, get the frog legs- they're pretty legit.

    (2)
  • Jules R.

It's very hot and humid in here. Busy and tight seating. The frozen drinks were very strong since most are mixed with grain alcohol. Our party got burgers, salads, and sandwiches. The food was pretty good...I wouldn't say 'awesome' or 'wonderful''...it was just okay.

    (3)
  • Julie V.

Not only was service horrible & slow (it took me 20 minutes to get the check) but the pizza was not good. It was greasy, so much that after I cut it & tried to give my daughter a piece and all the cheese came off.

Dive bar with HUGE machines of super strong frozen cocktails! MMMM. From 110 proof margaritas to 99 proof pina coladas, this place will tickle your tropical fancy any time of year. The drinks (about 10-15 different varieties) are kept in these large vats with spouts and come in small or large. The large will set you back about 7 bucks, but will last a long time and leave you nice n' tipsy. The inside of the place looks kind of hole-like, but you can take the drinks to go (YES!) and carry them around the shopping area or down to the beach. The nearby art café is a good place to go and paint pots with your Frosty Frog beverage in hand. Take arts and crafts to the next level. Virgin drinks available too, if that is your thing.

190 proff grain daquiri's! SOOO good. They have them in the wall for easy access. Takes less than a second to receive your delicious drink! They also have 151 & 80 proof daquiri's too, for those who can't handle the hard stuf ;) get it in a to go cup and carry it with you to all of the neat shops around. I didn't try their food, but the menu is not bad.

Visited here about ten years ago, and it's stayed with me all that time. The drinks were great, and there were monster portions at great prices that were served then, too. And you know what? We went back a couple weeks ago, and were thrilled to find that the formula hasn't changed since then. You go for the drinks, which even casual drinkers will enjoy. Even a beer snob like me enjoyed getting something pinkish-orange. It tastes like summer in a styrofoam cup. Again, the food portion was good, it tasted pretty good (highly recommend the wings, here), and wasn't a tourist price-gouge. We can't wait to come back.

Went to this bar and when the bill came it was all on one tab. The waitress said if we wanted to split it up just to write what cards we wanted to charge what to. So we did and then she came back to tell us she couldn't charge multiple tabs because we didn't tell her before we received the checks. Well the main problem is we were not asked if we wanted multiple checks before it was brought to us, so that was HER fault!! At that point we asked to speak with the manager and so some girl came out and talked to us. Then a girl in our party went in to speak with someone else about how we were treated and some guy came out and told us that "if we didn't get our friend out of the bar, we were going to get our a$$ beat." So basically we were threatened with violence for wanting to have our bills separate. Ultimately, definitely do NOT suggest going to this place!!

Great drinks, reasonable priced food, and a fun atmosphere! This is our first stop when we get to HHI, we leave Frosty's with a few half gallons to enjoy the week we are there! Not to mention we stop in throughout the week to try other drinks too!!

If you've never been here....go here...the drinks are soooooooo goood. Who cares about the food? 4 stars because it is kind of expensive

Had the buffwich, it was pretty good. The best thing we had there was the pepperoni puffs. My mom had the crab cakes, she didn't like the seasoning in them at all.

The pizza here ROCKS!!!!!! Highly recommend it!!!!!!!!!! Thick cut fresh veggies on the pizza, gobs of extra sausage added when we asked for extra. The parmesan-y crust is really to die for!!! Coconut shrimp was delicious, but steer clear of the slimy tasting crab cakes. NOTEWORTHY: after our order was placed but before it was brought to our table, my hubby and I walked over to the Frosty Frog's tshirt store 2 doors away to buy tshirts for our boys. We bought 2 full priced shirts. Well, when we received our bill after dinner, on the bottom of the receipt was 10% off coupon for purchases at the Frosty Frog tshirt store (where we had just been in the middle of dinner). I decided to see if I could get the 10% refund on my purchases, and the sales clerk told me "I don't have access to the register to retroactively give you a refund." She did let me pick out some cheesy plastic cups that were equal to the price of the coupon, but I definitely left the store with a sour taste in my mouth. We spent $$ at the restaurant and $$ at their shirt store- I consider that a great customer. I probably will go back for pizza, but will not be spending any money on their shirts again.

I went here two years ago and it is the, well, one of the reasons I'm going back to Hilton Head for spring break!! I know, pretty pathetic! But I love this place. The food is cheap, and huge portions. I dream of the frosty beverages. I cannot wait to go back. So yummy. I tell everyone I know about them and this bar. I want to start one of these places in Boston! So yummy. I can't wait. I'm going to be there everyday from April 16th-23rd. So make sure the machines are up and running!!!

One of the best eating experiences that I had on the island. I had the crab cake and it was ABSOLUTELY awesome!! Service was great as well!! If you like your adult beverage strong...order the Hurricane!!

  • Jess H.

Kind of apprehensive about dining here after reading a few of their Yelp reviews, but we were very pleasantly surprised! We decided to sit outside, which was neat- perfect for sporting events! We ordered chips and salsa to start- delish! I love the thicker tortilla chips they serve. We also tried their famous Fruit Loop adult beverage- I was shocked at how big it was! Overall we had a good experience- service, food, drinks, and all!

  • Steve M.

Let me start off by saying the service was impressive. We had a party of 7 and a dog, we were seated in 15 minutes or so on a busy Saturday night. The waitress got our drinks- including water for our dog quickly. We ordered pizza to make it easier since we had 3 children with us. Well the pizza was awful to put it nicely. It was under cooked and flavorless. The only pizza topping available on the table was crushed red pepper- no Parmesan, no garlic and no oregano. Our waitress tried to help but we were told that they didn't have garlic. Needless to say, we ended up wasting an entire pizza and went some where else. Maybe their sandwiches are better. I would stay away from the pizza.

This place is AWESOME!!! Our favorite stop when in Hilton Head. Their frozen drinks are very tasty (beware the 190 proof drinks!), quality food options, and great service. Great for large groups! Try the Dirty Monkey and the Creamsicle! I bought a tank top to commemorate this place forever.

  • Audrey M.

A great place a grab a drink and something to eat! I would say that the large frozen drink selection is the best thing about this place. I had piña colada and my boyfriend had sex on the peach. Both were amazing, and strong! The food was ok. I had the Mahi sandwich and I wouldn't order it again. It was very fishy. My boyfriend had the shrimp and said it was very fresh. The menu section is pretty good, so I would go back and just try something else. Our server was very nice and helpful. She wasn't on us all the time, but I never felt neglected. The bathrooms were clean and the whole place seemed very well kept. There was plenty of dinning inside and out, but it gets very busy in the evening, so plan ahead.

After a couple recommendations from friends, my two sisters-in-law and I just had to check out the Frosty Frog while visiting Hilton Head Island two months ago. First, we had a tough time finding the restaurant. We kept wandering around the plaza and had to ask for directions twice until we finally found it. The outdoor seating was fun, but that was where the Frosty Frog pros ended. The drinks were essentially super sweet slushies served with a dash of alcohol in a disposable cup. We even saw several machines churning the pre-mixed beverages which made them taste even less appetizing. We also ordered Piper's Pimento Cheese Dip. A small portion of dip was served with 10 or so packs of individually wrapped club crackers. We had to just laugh! Did we seriously pay $6.49 for this appetizer?! After finishing some (not even all) of our small frozen daiquiris, as they melted they turned into a brightly colored sugary syrup, we decided to split and find a real bar.

    (1)
  • Mimi K.

My husband got wasted on the terrible daiquiris. The wings were actually pretty delicious as was the mahi mahi sandwich.

  • Penny T.

I love their frosty drinks here and that is what keeps us coming back. I do not care for most of their food because most of it is fried and typical fare. I wish they would add more healthy options and local sourced food would be nice, too. The atmosphere is fun and the staff is very good. 4 stars for the drinks and atmosphere but food only gets 3 stars from me.

    (3)
  • Jay J.

I'll give this place three stars because I am conflicted. The food is great if you are looking for some after-beach or bar food. We usually order the pizza, which is greasy and delicious! The staff is friendly and there is usually some guys playing guitar in the high season. It's also neat that they have grain alcohol drinks, but that could also mean obnoxious drunken patrons. However, these are not real bartenders. All the drinks that are offered are pre-mixed and delivered out of an icee machine. If you ask for anything different, they will refuse because they "don't know how to make that"..which is odd because all I wanted was a not-frozen Bloody Mary. Also, if you have multiple families who plan on paying separately, they won't let you do split checks because the "staff is not that bright" (their words!).

We had an excellent time here on Saturday. The manager went out of his way to make our daughter feel special by giving her money to play the "claw" game and when she failed to grab a stuffed prize and was disappointed, he brought her a frosty frog stuffed frog that she has slept with all week during our vacation. The service was great- Hampton was our waitress. The salads were just okay but the steamed shrimp and fish tacos were amazing!!!

    (5)
  • Jenna T.

I wish we would have discovered this place on our first day on Hilton head. I got a medium drink and was definitely feeling it. They had so many flavors and some great laid back food as well

Cool atmosphere, food was pretty good. Pizza is not the best but the chips & salsa was awesome. Located in a neat area on the island too.

Ok so before I write this review I must say I am very bias for Frosty Frog. I have been going to Hilton Head for 10 years now and I have to visit Frosty Frog numerous times per visit!!! Also within the past year they have updated the decor and it rocks! You have to take this place for what it is which is a daiquiri bar with food!!!! It's perfect for the beach bc of their delicious menu of frozen drinks!!!! Every single drink is delicious and a great value for the drinks themselves compared to other daiquiri bars I've frequented. Now if u want to go chill and relax and grab a delicious frozen adult beverage there is no better place within miles and miles!!! What's great about this place is that the food is good as well! It's perfect drinking food the normal American options. The food might be a little pricey for the quality but it's still good food. This is a Hilton Head staple I encourage u if u are visiting and want to grab a drink go here!! It's a daiquiri bar with good food what else would u have at the beach? That's why I always and will always go to the Frosty Frog, stay frosty bro!

Went for lunch. Great frozen drinks. Had the hurricane. This is a must have. The Carol's burger is great and so are the fries. The fish tacos are some of the best the wife has ever had. The staff was friendly as well. We will be returning.

  • Lara M.

Good service for my family of 3 at 11:30. Early lunch outside for our first visit. Place filled up by noon. Tuna and grouper sandwiches were fresh and good size. Not a fan of potato salad. Slice of pepperoni pizza was large and cheeses. I would go back.

  • Molly O.

Go immediately and get a slushie! They are amazing after spending some time in the hot sun! Perfect beach drink spot!

    (5)
  • Kat S.

for what this place is (a bar you can bring the kids to) , it's really good. the slushies are great and there are even a few options for the little ones. this is a great family joint and we come back everytime we are visiting HHI. the food is good but on the grand scale of things I have had better seafood. although, I would definitely recommend it and be back. after all, it is a hilton head staple.

Really great atmosphere. Our waitress did a good job. We went for lunch and the grilled fish tacos were awesome!

  • Chase M.

We arrived on Sunday night around 7:30pm and the restaurant was very busy! Granted, it was Memorial Day Weekend, too - so a wait was expected anywhere we went to dinner. We were seated well ahead of our estimated wait time and our waitress immediately came to our table. She was very sweet, personable, and friendly. She gave us her suggestions on drinks and food, which was helpful. The food was okay and the drinks were good. However, the restaurant and patio was very noisy, but we liked that aspect for our crowd at dinner. Overall, the food, drinks, and customer service makes this a very good place to try when visiting Hilton Head!

    (4)
  • Mommy H.

Food is just ok. Service is not much better. Ambiance is even worse. Basic fried food, some burgers and wings. Best bet? A pitcher of a fun drink made with 151 proof, then you won't be bothered by the food or service!

    (2)
  • Jackie H.

Food not so much but we go here strictly for the cocktails. Love these concoctions hit the 190 proof drinks and you will be feeling good in no time! The tropicolada and the grape danger so yummy! Lots of fun stores to look around in as you sip on your frozen treat. Enjoy the buzz it's a fun one!

This is a must visit when on Island. Doesn't matter if we are here for a day trip or week long visit. We love some FF! Carol's burger today with melted cheddar cheese. Cooked to perfection with some crispy bacon added. Heaping side if fries too. Great location, awesome atmosphere, and great patio seating. To top it off I'll have a Pond Water Frosty too!

  • Jessica D.

Came here for lunch and sat outside. Our server, Charlie, was awesome! He had great suggestions for daiquiris and sandwiches. Definitely suggest sitting with Charlie when he's not out at his firefighting job saving babies and rescuing kittens out of trees! American hero, gentleman, and a scholar.

Best place to go on Hilton Head. Sadly, I do not live in Hilton head anymore, but when I did this place was always a go to! Love the drinks and the garlic wings!!! Drew is awesome to! Great management !

  • Jillian O.

Decent food. Nothing special, really. The atmosphere is really great though and the drinks are amazing!!! Virgin piña colada was the best I've ever had!!! Don't get the pizza. It was so not worth paying for. I also had the wings and they were pretty good. The fries and spicy chicken wrap were also pretty good. Nothing was too stand out except for what I mentioned above- drinks and atmosphere.

Giving this establishment a 1 star is being generous. The service at the Frosty Frog is poor, and by far, the worst I have ever experienced. My party sat at the bar and was ignored by the bar the entire time. We had to waive them down numerous times (bar wasn't busy by any means), and bar staff acted as though they were doing my party a favor by pouring us our drinks (which tasted like cough medicine). When we asked to speak to management about our poor service, the teenage aged manager wasn't accommodating or professional. As a frequent diner, I have never been treated so poorly in MY LIFE. We will NEVER be returning back to the Frosty Frog.. I suggest you save your money, as there are plenty of other pleasant & delicious restaurants on the Hilton Head island!

    (1)
  • Amy H.

SO I am only giving this place 5 star for the DRINKS!!! and NOT the food! Don't waste your money on the food! But we come here grab a nice gallon of their frozen alcohol and have a great time at the beach!!!! lol and you can take a cup to go!

A local recommended this for lunch one day while I was shopping in Coligny. Very pleased! Delicious BLT--BLTs are usually mediocre but this one was delicious. My boyfriend had Carole's burger and it was also really good--above average. We loved it! Fun place to stop while in HHI! Good drinks!

  • Jeffrey M.

Had a great time watching the UGA vs Clemson game here. The bar was packed with fans and everyone was having fun. The drinks were nice and cold and the staff was very friendly. I didn't try their food but several dishes that came by looked delicious.

My first trip down to HHI with the family this week and found out that you have to check out Frosty Frog. I've been to a few places down here that didn't live up to expectation however this place made up for all of that. Whether you are stopping in for lunch or just getting drinks to go the staff is so prompt and friendly. Definitely get the wings with the sweet chili sauce when you come here and you also have to get Jungle Juice.

Frozen drinks- whew are the good... And strong... Food was only OK, nothing special. Get a frosty and walk down to the beach. Service has been great last two times I've been there so no complaints.

My husband and I headed to frosty frogs in a nostalgic effort to relive his college spring break...7 years later! We went for dinner and a daiquiri, but it seems they are still meant for wet Tshirt contests and shots. I ordered a mahi salad ($12) and my man got a slice of pizza. The fish was pretty lame, with iceberg lettuce and packaged, shredded cheese on top. The pizza was mediocre at best. The worst part was being served all in disposables...styrofoam and paper plates. Yuk. The daiquiris are great (although from a machine), and service was decent, but the dinner was uninspired.

  • Guy S.

We happened in this place just by chance after a day at the beach which is a short walk from there. My kids said they have the best hamburgers they have ever had. They even have a huge fried bologna sandwich that was awesome. Our waitress' name was Heather and she was so much fun to have lunch with. They have a decent beer list and the frozen daiquiris were good too, I'm taking my wife's expertise on that. All in all a good place to have something to eat. There was a real mix of people having lunch/ dinner the two times we ate there. It ranged from people with families like us to older couples.

I really love this place. We were here for 4 days and ended up recommending this place to a few people. Great drinks. Great pizza. Great appetizers. They had free balloons at their store for the kids and Frosty the Frog came and took pics with her. It was a great place. Love it.

    (5)
  • G S.

We were sent by a friend to here for a drink and it was o.k. At best. It's the premix daiquiris in the wall set up. They just put shots of grain alcohol in and mix. Don't think I'd go back but ambiance was good and staff was pleasant. Just expected a better drink. Meh!!!!

    (3)
  • Janet L.

Really great burger. Not sure why all their cocktails are made with grain alcohol. It's a tourist town , not a frat house. Service is slooooooow. Waitress was rarely seen. No refills. Took forever for our check. LOUD. Even outside, it's loud.

  • Jessica N.

Ok, so this place is super gimmicky and a definite novelty but that is why I loved it. My friends and I (a group of 8) were visiting Hilton Head Island for a week and decided to drop by here to get some food and daiquiris. From a food standpoint, this place is not going to knock your socks off, but the whole gigantic daiquiri situation makes up for the average food in every way. Their daiquiri list is ridiculously long and includes multiple flavors that are 80 proof and up, ranging in price from $7-$12.75. My friends and I ordered a variety of flavors (including Jump Start, Tropic Thunder, Hurricane, Creamsicle and Strawberry) and were passing them around to try, and all of them tasted delicious and got us surprisingly drunk (mission accomplished). The daiquiris come in styrofoam cups, so don't arrive expecting anything fancy. Needless to say, this place was perfect for our group of 20 somethings. Service was great. We were seated outside (as requested) and even though it was indicated on the menu that they could not split checks, we asked at the very beginning of the meal and our waitress was happy to do so. If I were ever back on HHI, I'd be making a definite stop here.

    (5)
  • Cory S.

We ordered chips and salsa, pizza, margarita drink and grape drink. Chips tasted burnt. Pizza was mediocre. Drinks were ok but not what I'd hope for. I wouldn't come back.

  • Marissa L.

I went here a few weeks ago when I was visiting Hilton Head on vacation. It's a casual spot with lots of families and tourists. I had heard good things about their frozen drinks. I tried the Fruit Loop drink and it tasted very sweet, but nothing like a fruit loop in my opinion. Also there was live music which was impossible to talk over so we didn't end up staying long.

    (2)
  • Jennifer T.

I had a frozen drink called THE HURRICANE!! OMG DELISH. You need to try this place for frozen drinks - they have a bunch. Didn't try the food.

Second time back in Hilton Head = second time as a must to stop by the Frosty Frog. The hubs and I came in strictly for frozen drinks. I got a sex on the peach, I think, not 100% sure if that's what it was called. It was one of their featured mixes on the menu. It was very tasty and peachy, not overwhelming with the alcohol. On our vacation to HHI last year, we got a half gallon to go of their orange creamsicle mix. Seeing as how we did not want to spend the better part of the afternoon blacked out in our condo like we did last year, we just took an extra large to share. It was very yummy and potent. The extra large was plenty between the two of us. They are currently building on a huge front deck for additional dining. Also looks like they may be having live music out there as well. The sign said it should be done by June, I think. This place is definitely on our list of places to stop at when we are on the island.

What a fun place, Frozen drinks are amazing , wife had tropical thunder , 1/2 sex on the beach and half hurricane, I had the dirty monkey, banana and chocolate. food was supringly good, i had a chicken philly sandwich was was yummy . chicken wings were suprisingly good.

    (4)
  • Christopher S.

  • Lowell B.

    (3)
  • Melissa B.

You go here for the frozen grain alcohol drinks...not the food. They have a great selection of flavors and sizes. I got the lemonade one and it was delicious. Service was quick and the frosty slushee with some intense liquor is great for the beach.

  • Scott S.

Never have ate here, but this is THE spot to grab a drink and take it down to the beach in HHI. Also an Ohio past time... Ha

  • Samantha D.

    (1)
  • Brittany C.

Had the parmesan talipia sandwich... Yum! Very friendly atmosphere...

We absolutely LOVE this place! The garlic butter wings are to die for! The bacon burger is too! Everything is so good, we will be back!

Worst customer service ever!!!! We waited for 30 freaking minutes and no one came by our table to ask for our drinks! We gave them another 10 minutes and still no one came so we left!!!!

One of the best eating experiences that I had on the island. I had the crab cake and it was ABSOLUTELY awesome!! Service was great as well!! If you like your adult beverage strong...order the Hurricane!!

My husband got wasted on the terrible daiquiris. The wings were actually pretty delicious as was the mahi mahi sandwich.

Went for lunch. Great frozen drinks. Had the hurricane. This is a must have. The Carol's burger is great and so are the fries. The fish tacos are some of the best the wife has ever had. The staff was friendly as well. We will be returning.

Good service for my family of 3 at 11:30. Early lunch outside for our first visit. Place filled up by noon. Tuna and grouper sandwiches were fresh and good size. Not a fan of potato salad. Slice of pepperoni pizza was large and cheeses. I would go back.

  • Kat S.

for what this place is (a bar you can bring the kids to) , it's really good. the slushies are great and there are even a few options for the little ones. this is a great family joint and we come back everytime we are visiting HHI. the food is good but on the grand scale of things I have had better seafood. although, I would definitely recommend it and be back. after all, it is a hilton head staple.

Food is just ok. Service is not much better. Ambiance is even worse. Basic fried food, some burgers and wings. Best bet? A pitcher of a fun drink made with 151 proof, then you won't be bothered by the food or service!

Came here for lunch and sat outside. Our server, Charlie, was awesome! He had great suggestions for daiquiris and sandwiches. Best place to go on Hilton Head. Sadly, I do not live in Hilton head anymore, but when I did this place was always a go to! Love the drinks and the garlic wings!!! Drew is awesome to! Great management !

Love it.

  • G S.

We were sent by a friend to here for a drink and it was o.k. At best. It's the premix daiquiris in the wall set up. They just put shots of grain alcohol in and mix. Don't think I'd go back but ambiance was good and staff was pleasant. Just expected a better drink. Meh!!!!

  • Janet L.

Really great burger. Not sure why all their cocktails are made with grain alcohol. It's a tourist town , not a frat house. Service is slooooooow. Waitress was rarely seen. No refills. Took forever for our check. LOUD. Even outside, it's loud.

    (5)

We ordered chips and salsa, pizza, margarita drink and grape drink. Chips tasted burnt. Pizza was mediocre. Drinks were ok but not what I'd hope for. I wouldn't come back.

I had a frozen drink called THE HURRICANE!! OMG DELISH. You need to try this place for frozen drinks - they have a bunch. Didn't try the food.

This place has amazing service. Everyone is friendly and you can really tell the management know how to run this establishment. Great job everyone!

Pretty good I'd say! I ordered a pizza and a drink here. I don't remember spending a terrible amount of money here, and the food was definitely worth what I paid for it. The location is convenient considering it is walking distance from the beach and other stores, and the staff was friendly, too. Definitely check it out!

One of my favourite places in hilton head. The food & drinks are great and the atmosphere is awesome especially when there's a good game going on.

Stopped in for a quick snack and a few frozen drinks. Agreed that this is a super gimmicky place, but I can see where it would be loads of fun in the summertime. The drinks were excellent and they had a few really unique flavors. Service was good. Great place to stop if you are out and about in that area.

Good burger and good drinks. My girlfriend and I ate here and it was pretty good. Burgers and sandwiches are a good choice and the place was just a nice place in general to sit down and eat while taking a break from shopping and the beach.

The service is not very good , lots of young employees standing around on their phones.

Best pina colada I've ever had (it better have been, for the price). The wrap and peach coleslaw were delicious, too. Fun place for a girls' lunch.
